Canice Harte lives in the Pinebrook neighborhood with his wife Katy Wang, Executive Director of Park City Film, their two daughters Penelope and Fiona, who both attend school in the Park City School District and Gunther, a 7-year-old German Short Haired Pointer dog.
While in the Marine Corps, Canice learned to climb in Okinawa Japan while conducting high angle search and rescue training as a member of 3rd Reconnaissance Special Operation Platoon. After leaving the Marine Corps to attend Sonoma State University on the GI Bill, Canice pursued his love of climbing and worked at a mom-and-pop owned outdoor store. It’s here where Canice discovered the outdoor industry and began a 30-year career working in executive roles with top brands such as The North Face, Patagonia, Salomon, and AKU Outdoor.
Canice and Katy, together with an old friend, launched Waterbox®, a lifestyle water bottle company that believes in Form, Function and Beauty. Canice led the company to a successful acquisition and started Park City Running Company in Quarry Village. Canice is now the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for AKU Outdoor, an Italian footwear company.
The Harte family enjoys the trails and mountains in Summit County and Canice is an accomplished endurance athlete completing multiple 100-mile trail running races along with 10-day adventure races around the world.
